1. Information we handle
Depending on how you use Snagged, we may handle:
- Account information, such as your name, email address, and password hash.
- Applicant profile information, such as phone number, mailing address, school, degree, major, GPA, graduation date, LinkedIn, portfolio, skills, interests, employment history, work authorization, sponsorship needs, and job preferences.
- Files you provide, such as a resume or transcript.
- Application information, including jobs you save or open, application questions, prepared answers, application status, company, role title, and application URL.
- Optional sensitive information that you choose to provide for application forms, which may include gender, race or ethnicity, sexual orientation, veteran status, disability status, criminal-history responses, or similar self-identification information.
- Extension handoff information, such as a short-lived signed application token and the Snagged API origin needed to retrieve the correct fill plan.
- Supported application-page content, such as form labels, questions, options, and fields that Snagged needs to identify what should be filled.
2. How we use information
We use information to provide and operate Snagged, including to:
- create and maintain your account and applicant profile;
- find and rank job opportunities that may be relevant to you;
- prepare answers for application questions;
- fill supported job application forms that you choose to open;
- attach your resume when you request autofill and the application supports it;
- track the application pipeline inside Snagged;
- protect the service, prevent abuse, diagnose errors, and maintain reliability; and
- improve Snagged's matching, preparation, and autofill features.
3. How the browser extension works
Snagged Autofill runs on supported applicant-tracking-system pages, including supported Greenhouse, Ashby, Lever, and Workday pages. It reads the current application form only as needed to identify fields and insert information for the application you selected.
The extension does not need to monitor your general browsing history. Its background worker communicates with snaggedjobs.com to retrieve a fill plan and, when requested, your resume. For multi-step Workday flows, the extension may temporarily keep the signed Snagged handoff context in Chrome session storage so autofill can continue after a page reload. That temporary context is not intended to record unrelated browsing activity.
4. Service providers and third parties
Snagged may use service providers to operate the product. This can include hosting and database providers and Google Gemini for features such as job matching, question classification, or answer generation. Only information needed for the relevant feature should be sent to a service provider.
When you choose to complete an application, information you ask Snagged to fill may be placed into the employer's or applicant-tracking-system's application form. Those third-party sites have their own privacy policies and practices.
5. Selling data and advertising
Snagged does not sell user data. We do not use application/profile data for creditworthiness or lending decisions, and we do not transfer user data for purposes unrelated to Snagged's job-discovery and application assistance features except as needed to provide the service, comply with law, or protect the service and its users.
6. Data choices
You control which profile information you provide to Snagged. Optional demographic and self-identification information is not required unless you choose to save it for use on application forms. You can update many saved profile fields from the My Information page.
You should review every application before submitting it. Snagged is an assistance tool, and generated or matched answers may require correction.
7. Security and retention
Snagged uses technical safeguards such as signed, time-limited extension tokens and hashed account passwords. No system can guarantee absolute security. We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, maintain your account and application history, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the service.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Snagged changes. When we make a material change, we will update the effective date on this page and, when appropriate, provide additional notice in the product.
9. Questions
If you have a privacy question or request, use the contact or support method provided on snaggedjobs.com. We may add a dedicated privacy contact as the service expands.
